The Materials Coordinator is responsible for managing the spare parts inventory essential for reliable and safe operations. This role will ensure that the materials are always on-hand to support planned maintenance, and critical spare parts are accessible for urgent repairs. As one of three Coordinators of Maintenance, this role will also organize vital resources for operations, maintenance, and construction projects. Effective communication skills and an understanding our maintenance management system are keys to success!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Ensures material requirements are reflected on job plans; ensures accurate assignment of material purchases to assets and locations
- Acquires critical spare parts, prepares new spare parts inventory lists, manages storerooms, conducts mandatory cycle counts, and properly disposes of surplus
- Collects material delivery tickets and completes all receiving of purchased goods
- Procures consumables and manages local stock of safety items
- Serves as the operations point of contact for storage space acquisitions and warehouse construction projects
- Works in a project manager capacity and as a member of the local leadership team
- Coordinates all vital resources, including parts, tools and employees for work-related tasks within area of responsibility
- Prepares scope of work, work orders and project plans; communicates reports and findings
- Interacts with the manager/supervisor and technicians to plan and coordinate preventative maintenance, including repair and overhaul of equipment
- Assists in the development of facility training initiatives and our maintenance management system (Maximo); creates and assigns all work orders
- Leads or serves as a subject matter specialist for organizational initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
- Required: High school diploma/GED and minimum six (6) years' experience in industry-specific operations including, but not limited to, processing plants, gathering, NGL/Petchem or transmission pipelines
- Preferred: Associate's degree and project management or operations experience
Must be willing to:
- Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
- Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
- Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
- Use hand tools
- Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record
- Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Needs basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Preferred: Prior experience in warehouse and inventory operations
